Help & Advice for Carers

There are around seven million carers in the UK  – that is one in ten people. This is rising.

A carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.

Three in five people will be carers at some point in their lives in the UK.

Caring for someone can have a significant impact on a person’s physical, emotional and social wellbeing. Please let us know if you have any caring responsibilities so we can ensure you are getting the support you need.
